There is truly an inspirational heaven on earth which is known as The Letterpress Collective in Bristol. Imagine the freedom to rummage through endless drawers of vintage hot metal and wooden type blocks, creatively bringing typographic beauty to ink and press.
Ever since my years at University learning the intricacies and history of letterforms, I have held a deep love for type and in particular letterpress. There is something that stirs your artistic heart whilst turning the wheel of a press to reveal your printed creation.
The Letterpress Collective offer one day workshops where you can fully indulge this passion, with hands-on tuition and lunch and I can’t recommend it enough.
